Our Organization
The environmental services industry can play a significant role in catalyzing social and economic development. We believe that by encouraging closer collaboration among industry leaders we can help alleviate poverty and give people access to a better life.
Since 1993, the AAESC has worked hard to promote the environmental services industry across Asia. Working with local governments, our members work tirelessly to provide clean air, clean water, clean energy, and a sustainable future for the people of Asia and future generations.
To do this, AAESC brings together more than 640 environmental services companies from more than 40 countries across Asia and around the world, giving us a truly global reach. All member companies are represented on our council of CEOs, who then elect our Board of Directors and Officers.
This collaboration is supported by continuous dialogue with a broad range of stakeholders, including governments, international organizations, representatives of communities and indigenous peoples, civil society, academia and other industrial sectors.
Our vision
The various environmental services industries across Asia, from mining to wind power, from clean water to clean air, are respected industries, trusted to operate responsibly and contribute to sustainable development.
Our mission
In collaboration with others, we will strengthen the social and environmental performance of the environmental services industries and build recognition of their contribution to local communities and society at large.
Our principles
Member companies commit to implementing our principles and values. The principles serve as a best practice framework on sustainable development across all environmental services industries, across Asia.
Our values
We have five values that guide our work and how we interact with others.
- Care for the safety, health and well-being of workers, contractors, communities and consumers.
- Respect for people, the environment and the values of host societies.
- Integrity in dealings with employees, communities, governments and others.
- Accountable to do what we say we will do and uphold our commitments.
- Collaborate as a preferred means of working with others in an open, transparent and inclusive manner.
